SPARK Talk 2021: Balance between Academic and Business

Introduction
Turning ideas into reality requires a lot of dedication, perseverance, time and effort. How can university students who are passionate about innovation find time to pursue their mission in making a societal impact through entrepreneurship. In partnership with the British Council and with the presence of young entrepreneurs from HKUST and Oxford, the talk aims at sparking dialogues, thoughts and ideas on social innovation and entrepreneurship.

- Miss Anushka PUROHIT
CEO and Co-Founder of Breer; UG in Electronic and Computer Engineering, HKUST
Anushka is the CEO and Co-Founder of Breer, an award winning startup in Hong Kong that collects unsold, uneaten surplus bread, and uses it to brew local craft beer. She is also the CTO and Co-Founder of StayK, a platform bringing hidden gems in Hong Kong onto a digital platform for easy access.

President and Co-Founder of Oxford Cancer Analytics; DPhil in Clinical Medicine and Machine Learning, University of Oxford
Andreas is the President and Co-Founder of Oxford Cancer Analytics, a start-up that seeks to detect early cancer via advanced machine learning analysis of patient blood samples. Andreas also holds a core teaching position as Pathology Tutor for Medicine at St John's College, University of Oxford.
